group welcomes veterinarians from private practice and academia,
veterinary technicians, veterinary students, and other individuals
engaged in the practice of, or who have special interest in the field
of, veterinary wound management.

Each
issue features the latest techniques and opportunities to learn about
treatment strategies, new equipment, products, and continuing education
in the field of companion animal and equine wound management. In
addition, issues contain news items associated with the society. Sample
topics include: "Practical punch skin graft methods for the horse",
"The extended superficial cervical axial pattern skin flap: Application
for extensive head & neck reconstruction in the cat", and
"Preventing movement to enhance wound healing" .
- Access to archived proceedings from VWMS continuing education programs
The VWMS has full day sessions on small animal wound management and on
large animal wound management each year at the North American
Veterinary Conference, as well as sessions at other veterinary
conferences. The proceedings from these programs are in the member
section of the VWMS website.

to the Veterinary Wound Libary is provided by our European counterpart,
the Veterinary Wound Healing Association, who also receive the VWMS
newsletters. At this site, you can obtain one-on-one specialist support
on wound care and access an extensive database of case studies and
articles that illustrate a variety of techniques and outcomes in animal
wound management.

Each active member of the VWMS obtains voting privileges in matters associated with the society and it activities.
